Super Eagles defender Benjamin Fredrick is set to make his competitive debut for Brentford in tonight’s Carabao Cup tie against Reading.
Fredrick initially joined Brentford on loan from Simoiben Football Academy in August 2023. The Premier League club subsequently made the transfer permanent in April 2024 following impressive performances.
The 21-year-old earned his first senior matchday squad inclusion in January 2024 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Brentford manager Keith Andrews confirmed during his pre-match press conference that Fredrick is expected to feature tonight.

“He hasn’t had a lot of football. We decided not to play him yesterday (Sunday) in the B team game to make sure he was in the right place to be available today,” Andrews said.
“I anticipate he’ll be involved.”
